ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO.
85-102 WHICH CALLED A SPECIAL ELECTION FOR
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT ON THE 5TH DAY OF NOVEMBER,
1985 TO CHANGE A POLLING PLACE AND PROVIDE THE
TERMS OF A JOINT ELECTION WITH JEFFERSON COUNTY.
Section 1 .
That the polling place for Precinct 22 is hereby changed
from Roy Guess School to the Christian Schools of Beaumont.
Section 2 .
That a "Section 12" be added to Ordinance No. 85-102 to
read as follows:
"Section 12.
The special election to be held by the City of Beaumont
on November 5, 1985 shall be held jointly in all election precincts
embraced within the boundaries of the corporate limits of the City
of Beaumont with Jefferson County, Texas. The expenses of the
election with Jefferson County shall be divided equally between the
City of Beaumont and Jefferson County except that the City of
Beaumont shall provide and pay for the ballot cards used in the
election. Jefferson County and the City of Beaumont will each
provide its own absentee voting with each to provide the absentee
judges and voting place and its sole expense. "
