HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 85-17 ORDINANCE NO. 1 -17 ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE COMPENSATION AND THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT OF THE CITY MANAGER AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, by ordinance passed the 10th day of May , 1983, the City Council established the salary and benefits of the City Manager; and, WHEREAS, the Council desires to amend such compensation and benefits; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: Section 1 . The salary of Karl Nollenberger' s shall be Seventy Two Thousand Four Hundred Ten Dollars ( $72,410) per year. In addition to such base salary the City shall provide Nollenberger the following: a) A car allowance of Three Hundred Fifty Dollars ($350) per month as compensation for the use of his personal automobile for City-related automobile travel within the metropolitan area. In addition to the car allowance herein provided, the City shall pay Nollenberger for use of his personal automobile for City-related travel outside the metropolitan area at the mileage rate in effect for City employees. b) The City shall contribute yearly to the International City Management Association Retirement Corporation in behalf of Nollenberger the sum of Seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ( $7,500) . c) The City will contribute One Thousand Two Hundred Sixty Dollars ($1 , 260) per annum to an individual retirement account in behalf of Nollenberger as directed by Nollenberger. d) City will provide hospital, medical and dental insurance for Nollenberger and his family at no cost to Nollenberger. e) This ordinance shall be effective on and after January 1 , 1985. Section 2 . The provisions of Ordinance No. 83-53 passed the 10th day of May , 1983, not amended hereby, shall remain in full force and effect.
