ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING FEES
FOR EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES; PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY AND PROVIDING FOR
REPEAL.
WHEREAS, the City desires to establish fees to be
charged by the Emergency Medical Services Division for services
rendered to the public;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1 .
That the following fees shall be charged by the
Emergency Medical Services Division for services rendered to the
public:
a) Basic Life Support $100
b) Advanced Life Support - $135
c) If oxygen is used an additional Ten Dollar ($10)
fee is authorized
d) If response is outside the city limits an
additional Twenty Dollar ( $20) fee is
authorized
e) If Emergency Medical Service personnel assist
and provide services in transporting a patient
in a vehicle other than a city vehicle, a fee
of Thirty Dollars ( $30) is authorized
The City Manager is hereby authorized to amend the fees
established herein at his discretion based upon a study.
Section 2.
That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or
phrase of this ordinance or the application of same to a

particular set of persons or circumstances should for any reason
be held to be invalid, such invalidity shall in no wise affect the
remaining portions of this ordinance, and to such end the
provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
Section 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are repealed to the extent of the conflict only.
