ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE
00. 82-105 AND THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL
YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER l , 1982 ; REPEALING
ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY.
WHEREAS, the Acting City Manager of the City of Beaumont
submitted to the City Council a revised budget estimate of the
revenues of said City and the expenses of conducting the affairs
thereof for the fiscal year beginning October l , 1982 and ending
September 30, 1983 :
NOW , THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED
BY THE CITY OF BEA]MONT:
Section l .
THAT the appropriation to the General Fund for the fiscal
year beginning October l , 1982, as provided in ordinance 0o. 82-105,
be reduced by $I ,245,000 to $36 ,380 ,000 and that the appropriations
and the departmental and divisional budgets be amended to reflect
the following total appropriations:

Section 2 .
THAT the appropriation from the Revenue Sharing Fund be
reduced $25,000 to $1 ,700 ,000 ;
Section 3 .
THAT the appropriation from the Water Utilities Fund be
increased $195,000 to $11,482,500 providing a decrease in certain
expenditures of $305,000 and an increase of $500,000 in the transfer
to the General Fund;
Section 4 .
THAT the appropriation from the Sanitation Fund be reduced
$260 ,000 to $4 ,179,800 ;
Section 5 .
THAT the appropriation from the Transit Fund be reduced
$7,000 to $1 ,464,000 ;
Section 6 .
That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of the conflict only .
Section 7 .
That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or
phrase of this ordinance or the application of same to a particular
set of persons or circumstances should for any reason be held to be

invalid, such invalidity shall in no wise affect the remaining
portions of this ordinance, and to such end the provisions of this
ordinance are declared to be severable.
