ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FIRE
PREVENTION CODE ADOPTED IN CHAPTER 10,
SECTION 10-20 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
OF' THE CITY OF BEAUMONT BY AMENDING
SUBSECTION 13-1 . 124 (L) ; AND PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1 .
That Subsection 13-1 . 124 (L) of Chapter 10 , Section 10-20 of
the Code of Ordinances of the City of Beaumont is hereby amended by
adding tract IX as described in Exhibit A attached hereto to the
areas within the city limits of the City of Beaumont in which storage
of flammable liquids in outside above-ground tanks and new bulk
plants for flammable and combustible liquids are permitted.
Section 2 .
That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase
of this ordinance or the application of same to a particular set of
persons or circumstances should for any reason be held to be invalid,
such invalidity shall in no wise affect the remaining portions of
this ordinance, and to such end the various portions and provisions
of this ordinance are declared to be severable.

BEING a 1.71 acre tract of land outlof the J. W. Bullock Survey,
Abstract No. 7 in Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas and being a part of
Parcel No. 1 described in deed from Magno is Petroleum Conpany to the T.&
N.O. Railroad dated June 13, 1958 and recorded in Vol. 1121 Pre f82thof

certain tract of land described in deed from G. B. Booth, et ux to the T.
& N.O. Railroad dated August 27, 1959 an recorded in Vol. 1184 Page 151
of the Deed Records of Jefferson County, Texas and said 1.71 acre tract
of land being more particularly described by metes and bounds as
follows:
BEGINNING at a railroad spike placed in the Northeast right-of-way line
of Port Arthur Road (a 120 foot right-of-way) locating the most Southerly
Southwest corner of a 7.78 acre tr acs t Ilalanndted described

Texas and locating the frost Westerly corner of the tract of land herein
described;
THENCE North 51 degrees 56 minutes 07 nds East along a Southerly line
of said 7.78 acre` tract of land a distan a of 228.50 feet to a 1/2 inch
iron rod placed 15 feet Southwesterly at a right angle from the
centerline of the Southern Pacific Railroad Booth Spur track;
THENCE South 38 degrees 03 minutes Eas parallel with said Booth Spur
track a distance of 127.75 feet to a 1/2 inch iron rod placed at the
beginning of a tangent curve concave to the Southwest having a radius of
309.0 feet and a central angle of 40 deg ies ;10 minutes 08 seconds;

THENCE in a Southeasterly direction concentric with and 15 feet from said
Booth Spur track an arc distance of 21663 feet to a 1/2 inch iron rod
placed for the most Easterly corner of the tract ! of land herein

THENCE South 25 degrees 19 minutes 32 seconds West parallel with and 40
feet Northwest! of a right angle from the ;centerline of the Southern
Pacific Railroad Chaison Branch track a distance of 118.86 feet to a 1/2
inch iron rod placed for the most Southerly Southeast corner of said

THENCE North 89 degrees 50 minutes 53 seconds West along the South line
of said IParcel No. 1 a distance of 62J7 feet to a 1/2 inch iron rod
