ORDINANCE NO.
ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND
ABANDONING 19TH AND 20TH STREETS
SOUTH OF WEST CEDAR STREET AND TWO
20-FOOT ALLEYS IN BLOCKS 20 AND
21, VAN WORMER ADDITION., BEAUMONT.,
JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT 19th Street beginning at the south right-of-way line of West
Cedar Street and extending south to its terminus and a 100 foot
portion of 20th Street right-of-way beginning on the south
right-of-way line of West Cedar Street and extending south to its
terminus be, and the same are hereby , vacated and abandoned., but
such areas are retained as general utility easements for
maintenance of utilities located therein, and that title to such
property shall revert to and become the property of the persons
entitled thereto., as provided by law .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that two (2) 20-foot alleys in
Blocks 20 and 21, each 350 feet in length running in a north/south
direction, beginning at the south right-of-way line of West Cedar
Street, located in the Van Wormer Second Addition be, and the same
are hereby, vacated and abandoned, but said alleys are retained as
general utility easements for maintenance of utilities located
therein.
