ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING
ESTABLISHMENT OF FEES AND CHARGES
FOR SERVICES PROVIDED AT THE BEAUMONT
COMMUNITY HEALTH CLINIC.
WHEREAS, the Beaumont Community Health Clinic has been
established by the City of Beaumont to provide medical services for
low-income residents of the City; and,
WHEREAS, patients receiving such medical services will be
charged fees therefore;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
establish fees and charges for services rendered at the Beaumont
Community Health Clinic and to revise, amend and supplement said fees
and charges from time to time. In establishing maximum fees and
charges, the City Manager shall be guided by the applicable
prevailing physician' s profile provided for the Texas Title XIX
Program as it may be amended from time to time. The City Manager
shall establish a sliding fee scale based upon family income and size
and based upon the Consumer Service Agency Income Poverty Guidelines
as published from time to time in the Federal Register.
