ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 23
OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF BEAUMONT,
TEXAS, AND IN PARTICULAR THE NAME OF THAT
CERTAIN STREET AS INDICATED UPON THE
OFFICIAL STREET MAP OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS,
BY CHANGING THE NAME OF FOURTH STREET TO
"M. L. KING DRIVE" .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1 .
That Chapter 23 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Beaumont and in particular the official street map of the City of
Beaumont, referred to in Section 23-1 thereof, be amended to reflect
the change of the name of Fourth Street to M. L. King Drive to
become finally effective on Mr. King's birthday, January 15, 1984.
Until January 15, 1984, the said official street map of the City of
Beaumont is amended to show that either "Fourth Street" or "M. L.
King Drive" is the official name of that street heretofor named
"Fourth Street. "
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont, this
