ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND
ABANDONING A PORTION OF MILAM STREET 2066513
FROM MAIN STREET NORTHEASTERLY TO ITS
TERMINUS AND A PORTION OF FRANKLIN STREET
FROM MAIN STREET NORTHEASTERLY TO ITS TERMINUS
IN THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY,
TEXAS, AS DESCRIBED HEREIN.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT that certain portion of Milam Street from Main Street
northeasterly to its terminus described as follows:
Being a 280 foot by 61 .1 foot portion of Milam
Street right-of-way beginning on the northeastern
right-of-way line of Main Street and extending
northeastward to its terminal a distance of 280
feet.
be, and the same is hereby , vacated and abandoned, and that title
to such property shall revert to and become the property of the
persons entitled thereto , as provided by law; providing, however,
that the hereinafter described tracts of land are expressly
retained by the City of Beaumont for general utility purposes
only:
1. A 15-foot general utility easement located
within, along and parallel to the north-
western boundary line of the portion of
Milam Street herein abandoned.
2. A 15-foot utility easement located within,
along and parallel to the southeastern
boundary line of the portion of Milam
Street herein abandoned.
Title to such property , other than the rights retained by the City
of Beaumont herein, shall revert to and become the property of the
persons entitled thereto, as provided by law .
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT that certain portion of Franklin Street from Main Street
northeasterly to its terminus described as follows:
Being a 280 foot by 61 .1 foot portion of Franklin
Street right-of-way beginning on the northeastern
right-of-way line of Main Street and extending
northeasterly to its terminus a distance of 280
feet.
be, and the same is hereby , vacated and abandoned, and that title
to such property shall revert to and become the property of the
persons entitled thereto, as provided by law .
