ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING AN
APPROPRIATION OF FOUR MILLION DOLLARS
IN THE PUBLIC BUILDINGS AND LAND FUND
FOR RENOVATIONS TO THE MUNICIPAL
AUDITORIUM; AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF BID
TO DANIELS BUILDING AND CONSTRUCTION
COMPANY, INC . FOR RENOVATIONS TO THE MUNICIPAL
AUDITORIUM; APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. 1
TO SAID CONTRACT; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY
AND PROVIDING FOR REPEAL.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1 .
There is hereby established in the Public Buildings and
Land Fund an appropriation of Four Million and No/100 ($ 4 ,000 ,000)
Dollars for renovations to the Beaumont Municipal Auditorium.
Section 2 .
The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a
contract awarding a bid to Daniels Building and Construction
Company , Inc. in the amount of $3 ,990 ,000.00 for renovations to
the Beaumont Municipal Auditorium.
Section 3 .
The City Manager is hereby authorized to approve Change
Order No . 1 to said contract with Daniels Building and
Construction Company , Inc. deducting $269 ,3141 .00 from said
contract.
Section 14 .
That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or
phrase of this ordinance, or the application of same to a
particular set of persons or circumstances , should for any reason
be held to be invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the
remaining portions of this ordinance, and to such end the various
portions and provisions of this ordinance are declared to be
severable.
Section 5 .
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are repealed to the extent of the conflict only .
