ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND
ABANDONING A PORTION OF HEBERT
STREET LOCATED IN BLOCK 29 OF THE
WEST OAKLAND ADDITION TO THE CITY
OF BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY,
TEXAS, AS DESCRIBED HEREIN, PROVIDING
THAT PART OF SUCH STREET BE RETAINED
AS A GENERAL UTILITY EASEMENT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT that certain portion of Hebert Street located between Fannett
Road and Dolores Street described as follows:
Being an unpaved portion of Hebert Street,
having a 60-foot right of way width in
Block 29 of the West Oakland Addition to
the City of Beaumont, Texas, and running in
an east/west direction, between Fannett
Road (State Highway 124) on the west and
Delores Street on the east, and measuring
175 feet along its northern boundary
and 255 feet along its southern boundary
and depicted on the plat attached hereto
as Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof
be, and the same is hereby vacated and abandoned, and that title to
such property shall revert to and become the property of the persons
entitled thereto, as provided by law; provided, however, that a
fifteen foot general utility easement located seven one-half (7 1/2)
feet either side of the center line of the hereinabove described
tract of land is expressly retained by the City of Beaumont for
general utility purposes only; title to such property, other than the
rights retained by the City of Beaumont herein, shall revert to and
become the property of the persons entitled thereto, as provided by
law .
