ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND
ABANDONING A PORTION OF AN ALLEY LOCATED
IN BLOCK 19, OAKS ADDITION, IN BEAUMONT,
JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AS DESCRIBED
HEREIN, PROVIDING THAT SUCH ALLEY BE
RETAINED AS A GENERAL UTILITY EASEMENT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT that certain alley easement described as follows:
A 20 x 450 foot alley running in an
east/west direction between Duperior
Street and Eighth Street in Block 19,
Oaks Addition to the City of Beaumont,
Jefferson County, Texas,
be, and the same is hereby, vacated and abandoned, and that title to
such property shall revert to and become the property of the persons
entitled thereto, as provided by law; providing, however, that the
hereinabove described tract of land is expressly retained by the City
of Beaumont for general utility purposes only; title to such property,
other than the rights retained by the City of Beaumont herein, shall
revert to and become the property of the persons entitled thereto, as
provided by law.
