ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING
$350, 000 FROM THE PUBLIC BUILDINGS
FUND TO A FUND FOR CONSTRUCTION OF
AN ANIMAL SHELTER; AWARDING BID TO
GARY CLARK CONTRACTORS, INC-'. ;
APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 AND
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1.
That there is hereby appropriated the sum of $350, 000
from the Public Buildings Fund to a fund for construction of an
animal shelter.
Section 2.
The bid of Gary Clark Contractors, Inc. in the amount
of $348,744 for construction of the animal shelter at Pine and
Happ Streets be and the same is hereby accepted and the City
Manager is hereby authorized to execute a contract with Gary
Clark Contractors, Inc. for construction of said project.
Section 3.
That Change Order No. 1 to the contract for the con-
struction of an animal shelter at Pine and Happ Streets is
hereby approved which Change Order No. 1 will reduce the contract
price by $53, 897. 00 . The City Manager is hereby authorized to
execute Change Order No. 1 to said contract.
Section 4.
That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause
or phrase of this ordinance, or the application of same to a
particular set of persons or circumstances, should for any
reason be held to be invalid, such invalidity shall not affect
the remaining portions of this ordinance, and to such end the
various portions and provisions of this ordinance are declared
to be severable.
