ORDINANCE NO. 7 _62
ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING
SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE 79-88
BY CORRECTING THE DESCRIPTION
OF THE VACATION AND ABANDONMENT
OF A UTILITY EASEMENT IN BLOCK 5,
SOMERSET VILLAGE ADDITION, BEAUMONT,
TEXAS, AS DESCRIBED HEREIN.
WHEREAS, Section 1 of Ordinance 79-88 purported
to abandon a utility easement on either side of the common
lot line of Lots 57 and 58, Block 5, of the Somerset Village
Addition, Beaumont, Texas; and,
WHEREAS, the description of said abandonment is
incorrect and should refer to the common lot line of Lots 56
and 57, Block 5, Somerset Village Addition, Beaumont, Texas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED
BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1.
THAT that certain utility easement described as follows:
BEING the northernmost three feet and the
southernmost three feet of a sixteen foot
utility easement running in an east-west
direction, beginning at a point on the
western right-of-way line of Monica Drive
and extending west a distance of 84 feet,
and located eight feet on either side of
the common lot line of Lots 56 and 57,
Block 5, Somerset Village Addition,
Beaumont, Texas.
be, and the same is hereby, vacated and abandoned, and that
title to such property shall revert to and become the property
of the persons entitled thereto, as provided by law, and that
the City of Beaumont hereby relinquishes all rights, title
and interest it had or may have in and to such easement.
