HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 79-92 ORDINANCE NO. �f ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $240,000 FROM UNOBLIGATED FUNDS IN THE UTILITY REVENUE FUND AND $100,000 FROM UNOBLIGATED FUNDS IN THE WATER IMPROVEMENT FUND TO A FUND FOR CON- STRUCTION OF A FIVE MILLION GALLON WATER STORAGE TANK IN RELATED YARD PIPING; AUTHORIZING AWARD OF BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR REPEAL. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: Section 1. That there is hereby appropriated from unobligated funds in the utility revenue fund the sun of $240,000 and from unobligated funds in the improvement funds the sum of $100,000, said total of $340,000 being appropriated to an account in the water improvement fund for construction of a five million gallon water storage tank and related yard piping. Section 2. The City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to enter into a contract with Preload Technology, Inc. in the amount of $857,000 for the construction of a five million gallon water storage tank on the site of well No. 1 in Loeb, Texas. Section 3. The City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to enter into a contract with Mar-Len, Inc. in the amount of $184,000 for yard piping associated with the five million gallon water storage tank at the site of well No. 1 in Loeb, Texas. Section 4. That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance, or the application of same to a particular set of persons or circumstances, should for any reason be held to be invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the remaining portions of this ordinance, and to such end the various portions and provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. ' Section 5. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are repealed to the extent of the conflict only.
