ORDINANCE NO.
ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING
$7,974 FROM THE UNAPPROPRIATED FUND
IN THE MAJOR STREET IMPROVEMENT FUND
TO THE ORLEANS PLAZA PROJECT NO. 730-
184; AUTHORIZING CHANGE ORDER NO. 3
TO THE ORLEANS PLAZA PROJECT; PROVIDING
FOR SEVIERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR
REPEAL.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1.
THAT the budget of the City of Beaumont for the fiscal period
commencing October 1, 1979 and ending September 30, 1980, be,
and the same is hereby, amended by appropriating $7,974 from
the unappropriated fund in the Major Street Improvement Fund to
the Orleans Plaza Project No. 720-184.
Section 2.
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute
Change Order No. 3 to the Orleans Plaza Project No. 720-184 with
H. B. Neild & Sons, Inc. to provide for the construction of three
(3) additional storm sewer lines across Orleans between Fannin and
Bowie at a cost of $10,659; and the deletion from the contract of
the proposed installation of 190 linear feet of 15-inch storm
sewer for a credit of $2,685 resulting in an increase in the contract
amount of $7,974.
Section 3.
That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase
of this ordinance, or the application of same to a particular set of
persons or circumstances, should for any reason be held to be invalid,
such invalidity shall not affect the remaining portions of this
ordinance, and to such end the various portions and provisions of this
ordinance are declared to be severable.
Section 4.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are repealed to the extent of the conflict only.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the
