ORDINANCE NO.
ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 20
SECTION 20-21 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT TO PROVIDE NEW
RENTAL RATES FOR THE CIVIC CENTER, COLISEUM,
AND CITY AUDITORIUM; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY;
AND PROVIDING FOR REPEAL.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1.
THAT Chapter 20, Section 20-21(A)1(a) , 21-20(C)1(a) , and 20-21(D)l
be and the same are hereby amended to read as follows:
Civic Center
20-21(A)1(a) Commercial: The basic rate is $1,000 or ten
percent (10%) of gross receipts
with a $30,000 ceiling on gross
receipts, whichever is greater.
Coliseum
20-21(C)l(a) Commercial: The basic rate is $1,000 or ten
percent (10%) of gross receipts
with a $35,000 ceiling on gross
receipts, whichever is greater.
City Auditorium
20-21(D)1 Commercial: $500.00
Section 2.
That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase
of this ordinance, or the application of same to a particular set of
persons or circumstances, should for any reason be held to be invalid,
such invalidity shall not affect the remaining portions of this ordinance,
and to such end the various portions and provisions of this ordinance
are declared to be severable.
Section 3.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are repealed to the extent of the conflict only.
