ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AND
ABANDONING A PORTION OF WOOrI'E N ROAD
RIGHT OF VMY LOCATED SOUTH OF WASHING-
TON BOULEVARD IN THE WESCALDER FIG
ACRES TO THE CITY OF BEAUAONT, JEFFERSON
COUNTY, TEXAS, AS DESCRIBED HEREIN.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEALV'IONT:
THAT that certain portion of Wooten Road right of way located south of
Washington Boulevard described as follows:
BEING a 1.18 acre tract of land and being
a portion of the 50 foot wide right of way
for Wooten Road that lies South of Washington
Boulevard and said 1.18 acre tract of land
being more particularly described by metes
and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at an iron stake in the West right-
of-way line of a 50 foot wide right-of-way
for Wooten Road locating the Eastmost North-
east corner of Somerset Village, a subdivision
recorded in Vol. 12 Page 39 of the Map Records
of Jefferson County, Texas and locating the
Southeast corner of Lot 1, Block 5 of Wescalder
Fig Acres, a subdivision recorded in Vol. 4
Page 149-150 of the Map Records of Jefferson
County, Texas and locating the Northwest and
the beginning corner of the tract of land
herein described;
THENCE South with the East line of Block 5 of
said Somerset Village Subdivision a distance of
1032.30 feet to a point for corner in the North
line of the INVA Canal;
THENCE South 891 30' 36" East with the North
line of the LNVA Canal a distance of 50.0 feet
to a steel rod for corner locating the Southwest
corner of Lot 12 Block 6 of said Wescalder Fig
Acres;
THENCE North with the West line of said Block 6
and with the East line of a 50 foot wide right-
of-way for Wooten Road a distance of 1032.60
feet to a steel rod for corner;
THENCE West a distance of 50 feet to the place of
beginning containing 1.18 acres of land,
be, and the same is hereby, vacated and abandoned, and that title to such
Property shall revert to and become the property of the persons entitled
thereto, as provided by law.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the
day of Ace 1979.
