ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING A PORTION
OF SIMPSON DRIVE RIGHT OF TaY ABUTTING LOT
ONE (1) , BLOCK EIGHT (8) IN THE FLEEZvMD
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON
COUN'T'Y, TEXAS, AS DESCRIBED HEREIN, PROVIDING
THAT SAID STREET RIGHT OF TMY SHALL REVERT
TO THE CITY OF BEAUMONT WITHIN NINETY (90)
DAYS FRal THE DATE HEREOF.
BE IT ORDALNED BY THE CI7Z OF BEAT-RIONT:
THAT that certain portion of Simpson Drive abutting Lot One (1) , Block
Eight (8) in the Fleetwood Addition described as follows:
BEING a 1,118.24 square foot tract of the
right of way of Simpson Drive adjacent to
Lot 1, Block 8 of Fleetwood Addition to the
City of Beaumont, Texas, and being more
particularly described as follows:
For a locative point begin at an iron pin
located at the intersection of the west
boundary line of said subdivision with the
south right-of-way line of Simpson Drive,
said point being 30 feet south of the center
line of Simpson Drive;
THENCE east 3.66 feet nara-1 el to and 30 feet
south of the centerline of Simpson Drive along
the south right-of-way line of Simpson Drive to
the place of beginning;
THENCE southeasterly, easterly, and northeasterly
along the arc of a curve of 50 foot radius an
arc length of 92.74 feet with the south right -
of way line of Simpson Drive to a point for
corner which is the northeast corner of Lot 1,
Block 8, of said subdivision;
THENCE west 30 feet south of and parallel to
the centerline of Simpson Drive a distance of
80.01 feet to the place of beginning,
be, and the same is hereby, vacated and abandoned, and that title to
such property shall revert to and become the property of the persons
entitled thereto, as provided by law; providing, however, that the
hereinabove described tract of land shall revert to the City of Beaumont
for general street purposes within ninety (90) days of the date hereof.
