ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING
$15,100, 000 FROM THE MUNICIPAL COMPLEX
FUND TO THE VARIOUS CONSTRUCTION PRO-
JECTS STATED HEREIN; AND PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY.
WHEREAS, the Municipal Complex Fund has been estab-
lished to provide funding for construction of municipal
buildings; and,
WHEREAS, revenues from the following sources have
been placed in said fund: City of Beaumont General Obligation
Bonds Series 1971 and Series 1975, ad valorem taxes; and
interest earned; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to establish and
appropriate various amounts from said Fund to the projects
designated herein for the purposes of right-of-way acquisition,
construction, and related professional services and adminis-
trative expenses;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1.
That the following construction projects are estab-
lished and the various amounts stated are appropriated from
the Municipal Complex Fund to said projects:
(1) Civic Center - City Hall $ 10, 800, 000
(2) Auditorium 2,500, 000
(3) Riverfront Park 1, 200, 000
(4) Parking/Storage Areas 600, 000
TOTAL $ 15,100, 000
Section 2.
That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or
phrase of this ordinance, or the application of same to a
particular set of persons or circumstances, should for any
reason be held to be invalid, such invalidity shall not

affect the remaining portions of this ordinance, and to such
end the various portions and provisions of this ordinance
are declared to be severable.
