ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND
ABANDONING A PORTION OF AN ALLEY
LOCATED IN BLOCK 31 OF THE MCFADDIN
SECOND ADDITION, BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON
COUNTY, TEXAS, AS DESCRIBED HEREIN,
PROVIDING THAT SUCH ALLEY BE RETAINED
AS A GENERAL UTILITY EASEMENT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT that certain alley easement described as follows:
Being a 20-foot alley running in an
east/west direction located in Block
31, McFaddin Second Addition, Beaumont
Texas, bounded on the north by Lots
9-14 of the aforementioned Block 31 and
bounded on the south by Lots 1-8 of the
aforementioned Block 31, and depicted
on the plat in Exhibit "A" attached
hereto and made a part hereof for all
purposes;
be, and the same is hereby, vacated and abandoned, and that title
to such property shall revert to and become the property of the
persons entitled thereto, as provided by law; providing, however,
that the hereinabove described tract of land is expressly retained
by the City of Beaumont for general utility purposes only; title
to such property, other than the rights retained by the City of
Beaumont herein, shall revert to and become the property of the
persons entitled thereto, as provided by law.
