ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND
ABANDONING A PORTION OF EAST VIRGINIA
FROM CALLAGHAN TO UNIVERSITY DRIVE IN
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY,
TEXAS, AS DESCRIBED HEREIN, PROVIDING
THAT PART OF SUCH STREET BE RETAINED
AS A GENERAL UTILITY EASEMENT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That that certain portion of East Virginia Street from Callaghan
Street to University Drive described as follows:
A 50-foot right-of-way, beginning at its
intersection with the east right-of-way line of
University Drive and extending east for a
distance of approximately 2000 feet to its
intersection with the west right-of-way line of
Callaghan Street, depicted on the plat attached
as Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof for all
purposes.
be, and the same is hereby vacated and abandoned, subject to the
retention of the entire right-of-way herein described as an
easement for general utility purposes; and that title to such
property shall revert to and become the property of the persons
entitled thereto, as provided by law.
