ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE BUDGET
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT FOR THE FISCAL PERIOD
COMMENCING OCTOBER 1 , 1980 AND ENDING
SEPTEMBER 30, 1981 BY ALLOCATING AND APPROPRIATING
$143,000.00 FROM THE CONTINGENT APPROPRIATION
TO LINE ITEM 79-40; AND AUTHORIZING A PAYMENT
OF THE PORTION OF THE JEFFERSON COUNTY APPRAISAL
DISTRICT BUDGET ASSESSED AGAINST THE CITY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1.
THAT the budget of the City of Beaumont for the fiscal period
commencing October 1, 1980 and ending September 30, 1981 be, and the
same is hereby, amended by allocating and appropriating $143,000.00
from the Contingent appropriation to line item 79-40 and authorizing
a payment of the portion of the Jefferson County Appraisal District
budget assessed against the city. This is an unforeseen item of
expenditure and is an established emergency of the city.
Section 2 .
That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
pay the portion of the Jefferson County Appraisal District budget
assessed against the city.
