ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO.
00-26; REVOKING A SPECIFIC USE PERMIT TO ALLOW A
RESIDENTIAL CARE FACILITY(YOUTH RESCUE MISSION)
IN AN RM-H RESIDENTIAL MULTIPLE FAMILY DWELLING-
HIGHEST DENSITY)DISTRICT FOR PROPERTY LOCATED
AT 1930 FRANKLIN STREET IN THE CITY OF BEAUMONT,
JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS.
WHEREAS, a public hearing properly noticed and held was conducted to address
the revocation of the Specific Use Permit issued March 21, 2000. The permit was issued
pursuant to Ordinance No.00-26,to allow a residential care facility(Youth Rescue Mission)
in an RM-H (Residential Multiple Family Dwelling-Highest Density) District for property
located at 1930 Franklin Street, being Lots 4-6, Block 24, Blanchette 1 Addition, City of
Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, containing 0.48 acres, more or less, as shown on
Exhibit "A" attached hereto; and,
WHEREAS, the permit issued March 21, 2000 was issued subject to compliance
with certain conditions set out in Ordinance 00-26; and,
WHEREAS,the City Council for the City of Beaumont finds and determines that the
Youth Rescue Mission has violated conditions of its Specific Use Permit; and,
WHEREAS,the City Council forthe City of Beaumont desires to revoke the Specific
Use Permit issued to the Youth Rescue Mission to operate a residential care facility at
1930 Franklin Street in Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That after having found that conditions of Ordinance No. 00-26 were violated by the
Youth Rescue Mission, the specific use permit issued March 21, 2000, pursuant to
Ordinance No.00-26 to allow a residential care facility(Youth Rescue Mission)in an RM-H
(Residential Multiple Family Dwelling-Highest Density)District for property located at 1930
Franklin Street, being Lots 4-6, Block 24, Blanchette 1 Addition, City of Beaumont,
Jefferson County, Texas, containing 0.48 acres, more or less, is hereby revoked and
Ordinance No. 00-26 is hereby repealed.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Youth Rescue Mission or other individual
or organization shall not be allowed to operate or continue to operate a residential care
facility at 1930 Franklin Street in Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, without having
first obtained a Specific Use Permit to do so.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 20"' day of
