WHEREAS, bids were received for a one(1)year contract for the purchase of sand
cement for use by the Public Works Department; and,
WHEREAS, Transit Mix Concrete and Materials Co. submitted a bid in the unit
prices shown below for an estimated expenditure of$134,250:

and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Transit Mix
Concrete and Materials Co. should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Transit Mix Concrete and Materials Co. for a one (1) year
contract for the purchase of sand cement for use by the Public Works Department in the
unit amounts shown above for an estimated expenditure of$134,250 be accepted by the
City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 201 day of May,
2003.
