WHEREAS, on July 23, 2002, the City Council of the City of Beaumont, Texas,
awarded a contract to Boyer, Inc., in the amount of $1,982,981 for the Wastewater
Treatment Plant Electrical Improvements Phase I; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 in the amount of$495,495 is required to authorize
Boyer to install a precast control building, ultrasonic transducers, EMH-7, sludge
pumps/VFD's flow meter raceway, Supervisor Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA)
System,concrete steps, remodel the pump station building-including asbestos abatement
and modifying the wiring in motor control center 1,thereby increasing the contract amount
to $2,478,476;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized, to execute Change Order No.
1 in the amount of $495,495 to authorize Boyer to install a precast control building,
ultrasonic transducers, EMH-7, sludge pumps/VFD*s flow meter raceway, Supervisor
Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) System, concrete steps, remodel the pump station
building - including asbestos abatement and modifying the wiring in motor control center
1, thereby increasing the contract amount to $2,478,476.
