WHEREAS, bids were received for the purchase of water treatment chemicals for
use by the Public Works Department, Water Utilities Division; and,
WHEREAS, the following vendors submitted bids in the prices shown below:
VENDOR CHEMICAL COST PER TON
GEO Specialty Chemicals Aluminum Sulfate $111.75
Harcros Chemicals, Inc. Fluorosilicic Acid $140.00
Southern Ionics, Inc. Aqua Ammonia $442.00
Stiles-Kem Phosphate $1,360.00
and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bids submitted by the above
vendors in the amounts shown should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids submitted by the above vendors in the amounts shown for the purchase of
watertreatment chemicals for use by the Public Works Department,Water Utilities Division
be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 22nd day of
April, 2003.
