WHEREAS, bids were received fora contract for the Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation
of Small Diameter Mains Contract-VII to rehabilitate 21,214 linear feet of 6- and 8-inch
sanitary sewer lines, 3,764 linear feet of 10-and 12-inch sanitary sewer lines, remove and
replace 94 manholes,furnish and install 9 clean-outs,and replace 477 service connections
in the Caldwood Addition; and,
WHEREAS, PM Construction, Houston, Texas, submitted a bid in the amount of
$1,042,988; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by PM
Construction, Houston, Texas, should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by PM Construction, Houston, Texas, for a contract for the
Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation of Small Diameter Mains Contract-VII to rehabilitate 21,214
linear feet of 6- and 8-inch sanitary sewer lines, 3,764 linear feet of 10- and 12-inch
sanitary sewer lines, remove and replace 94 manholes, furnish and install 9 clean-outs,
and replace 477 service connections in the Caldwood Addition in the amount of$1,042,988
be accepted by the City of Beaumont and the City Manager is authorized to execute a
contract for such work.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 11th day of
February, 2003.
