WHEREAS, the Beaumont City Council recognizes the importance of better
management, efficiency, and effectiveness in the administration of city government; and,
WHEREAS,the Beaumont City Council understands thatthe Financial Management
Review (FMR) is a service provided by the State Comptroller's Office to assist local
governments to improve the financial management procedures and the managerial
effectiveness of city departments; and,
WHEREAS, the Beaumont City Council understands that the FMR is an
administrative review, and not a financial audit, and does not seek to detect financial error
or fraud; and,
WHEREAS,the Beaumont City Council of Beaumont wishes to approve the request
for a Financial Management Review:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be and is hereby authorized to execute and submit this resolution
to the State Comptroller's Office requesting an FMR of the City of Beaumont.
