WHEREAS, on June 19, 2001, the City Council of the City of Beaumont, Texas,
passed Resolution No. 01-151 awarding a contract to Allco, Inc., Beaumont, Texas, in the
amount of $2,305,113 for the Eleventh Street Interceptor Rehabilitation Project; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 is required in the amount of$227,987 for"extra
work" to remove and replace 360 linear feet of 60-inch sewer pipe including all
appurtenances such as tying to existing lines, replacing manholes, replacing storm sewer
crossings, bypass pumping and replacing the pavement on the intersection of Eleventh
Street and Washington Boulevard; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized, to execute Change Order No.
1 in the amount of$227,987 for"extra work" to remove and replace 360 linear feet of 60-
inch sewer pipe including all appurtenances such as tying to existing lines, replacing
manholes, replacing storm sewer crossings, bypass pumping and replacing the pavement
on the intersection of Eleventh Street and Washington Boulevard increasing the contract
amount to $2,533,100.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 11th day of
February, 2003.
