WHEREAS, the Convention and Visitor's Bureau (CVB) is authorized to submit a
bid to host the 2006 or 2007 Joint Institute Trade Show of the Texas Recreation and Parks
Society (TRAPS) and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPW); and,
WHEREAS, City and CVB acknowledge the criteria and requirements specified in
the site selection criteria for bid to host the Joint Institute Trade Show of the Texas
Recreation and Parks Society (TRAPS) and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department
(TPW):
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Council endorses the bid submission and is committed to providing the
necessary resources to perform all functions consistent with the bid to host the 2006 or
2007 Joint Institute Trade Show of the Texas Recreation and Parks Society(TRAPS)and
the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPW).
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 28th day of
January, 2003.
