WHEREAS,on February 20,2001,the City Council of the City of Beaumont,Texas,
awarded a contract to Allco, Inc., in the amount of $838,721 for the Sanitary Sewer
Rehabilitation of Small Diameter Mains Contract-II; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 in the amount of$201,399 is required for "extra
work" to rehabilitate 2,410 linear feet of 10-inch and 2,421 linear feet of 8-inch sanitary
sewer lines, replace 5 sanitary sewer manholes, replace 7 existing service connections,
abandon 1 manhole in place, and remove 3 underground obstructions on Florida Avenue,
Country Club Road and Caldwood Addition, increasing the contract to $1,040,120;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized, to execute Change Order No. 1
in the amount of $201,399, increasing the contract to $1,040,120 for "extra work" as
described above for the Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation of Small Diameter Mains Contract-II.
