WHEREAS, the lawsuit of Dorothy Jackson v Arthur Leger et al was discussed in
an Executive Session properly called and held Tuesday, November 26, 2002; and,
WHEREAS, the Council desires to authorize the settlement of the suit;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Attorney be and he is hereby authorized to settle the lawsuit styled Dorothy
Jackson v Arthur Leger and the City of Beaumont for the sum of Four-Thousand and Five-
Hundred and No/100 ($4,500) Dollars payable to Dorothy Jackson and Attorney David
Starnes.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 10th day of
December, 2002.
