ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 6 OF
THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT
TO ESTABLISH A CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY FEE AND
FEES FOR MASTER AND JOURNEYMAN ELECTRICIANS
REGISTRATION AND RENEWALS; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR REPEAL.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1.
That Chapter 6, Section 6-21 of the Code of Ordinances is hereby amended to
amend Appendix B by adding a new Section B106 to read as follows:
SECTION B106
CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY
The fee for issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy shall be $50.00.
Section 2.
That Chapter 6, Section 6-82(c), be and the same is hereby amended to read as
follows:
(c) The following fees shall be applicable in this code:
Classification Annual Fee
(1) Master electrician $50.00
(2) Master sign electrician $25.00
(3) Journeyman electrician $25.00
(4) Maintenance electrician $5.00
(5) Journeyman sign erector $5.00
Section 3.
That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance, or the
application of same to a particular set of persons or circumstances, should for any reason
be held to be invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the remaining portions of this
ordinance, and to such end the various portions and provisions of this ordinance are
declared to be severable.
Section 4.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are repealed to the extent
of the conflict only.
