BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Beaumont, Texas, awarded a contract
to Excavators and Constructors, Inc. on June 5, 2001, in the amount of$4,026,428.90 for
the Concord Road Pavement Widening Phase II Project; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 in the amount of ($515,957.26) is required due
to the decrease in construction item quantities;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized, to execute Change Order No.
1 in the amount of($515,957.26), decreasing the contract to $3,510,471.64. The project,
as stated above, be and the same is herein accepted and the City Manager be and he is
hereby authorized to make final payment in the amount of $178,910.33 to be paid to
Excavators and Constructors, Inc.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 26th day of
November, 2002.
