WHEREAS, the lawsuit of Deborah Edwards v. City of Beaumont, et al has been
discussed in an Executive Session properly called and held Tuesday, July 23, 2002; and,
WHEREAS, the Council desires to authorize the settlement of the lawsuit;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Attorney be, and he is hereby, authorized to settle the lawsuit of Deborah
Edwards v.City of Beaumont,et al in the amount of Seventy-Five Thousand Dollars($75,000).
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 30`h day of July,
2002.
