WHEREAS, bids were received for providing an annual contract for grounds
maintenance at Cattail Marsh; and,
WHEREAS,Bourque's Oilfield Services, Winnie, Texas, submitted a bid as follows:
Service Description
Mowing Cattail Marsh - $6,500.00 / month
10 months per year, March through December, $65,000.00 / year
including approximately 20 acres of flat turf& 11 miles
of levee
Mowing newly constructed levees as completed:
► levee between Cells 2 & 3 - approx. 1 mi. long $900 / month
► levee between Cells 3 & 4 - approx. 1 mi. long $900 / month
Mowing additional area as required:
► flat turf area $19 / acre
► sloped turf area $36 / acre
and,
WHEREAS,City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Bourque's Oilfield
Services should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Bourque's Oilfield Services for an annual contract for grounds
maintenance at Cattail Marsh in the amount of $65,000, with prices as stated above for
additional mowing, be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 2"d day of July,
2002.
