WHEREAS, bids were received for an annual contract forthe purchase of limestone
base material for use by the Public Works Department, Streets and Drainage Division;and,
WHEREAS, Trinity Aggregate Distribution, Beaumont, Texas, submitted a bid of
$10.75 perton for plantsite pickup and $13.05 perton for jobsite delivery with an estimated
total expenditure of$85,000; and,
WHEREAS,City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Trinity Aggregate
Distribution should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Trinity Aggregate Distribution for an annual contract for the
purchase of limestone base material at the unit costs of$10.75 per ton for plantsite pickup
and $13.05 per ton for jobsite delivery be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 2nd day of July,
2002.
