WHEREAS,on September 20,2000,the City Council of the City of Beaumont,Texas,
awarded a contract to Allco, Inc., in the amount of $5,538,569.25 for the Concord Road
Pavement Widening Project, Phase III; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 in the amount of$22,120.17 is required to provide
forthe removal of an abandoned 10'x 6'concrete boxthatwas not part of the original contract,
increasing the contract to $5,560,689.42; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized,to execute Change Order No. 1 in
the amount of$22,120.17, increasing the contract to$5,560,689.42 for the Concord Road
Pavement Widening Project, Phase III.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont on this the 2"d day of July,
2002.
