WHEREAS, on March 20, 2001, the City Council of the City of Beaumont, Texas,
awarded a contract to LD Construction, in the amount of $1,933,235.75 for the Street
Rehabilitation Program Project; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 in the amount of ($133,221.99) is required to
adjust the estimated quantities during performance of the project, decreasing the contract
amount to $1,800,013.76;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute Change Order No.
1 in the amount of($133,221.99)to adjust the estimated quantities during performance of
the project, decreasing the contract amount to $1,800,013.76. The project, as stated
above, be and the same is herein accepted and the City Manager be and he is hereby
authorized to make final payment in the amount of $206,715.25 to be paid to LD
Construction.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont on this the 23rd day of
April 23rd, 2002.
