WHEREAS, bids were received fora six(6)month contract for the purchase of sodium
hydroxide for use by the Public Works Department, Waters Utilities Division; and,
WHEREAS, DX Distributors, Inc. submitted a bid at the unit amount of$127 perdry
ton for a total estimated cost of$38,100; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by DX Distributors,
Inc. in the unit amount of$127 per dry ton for a total estimated cost of$38,100, should be
accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by DX Distributors, Inc. in the unit amount of$127 per dry ton fora
total estimated cost of$38,100 be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 9th day of April,
2002.
