WHEREAS,the Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB)is authorized to submit a bid
to host the 2005 Texas Recreation and Park Society (TRAPS)/Texas Parks and Wildlife
Department (TPW)Annual Institute; and
WHEREAS,City and CVB acknowledge the criteria and requirements specified in the
site selection criteria for bid to host the Annual TRAPS/TPW Institute;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Council endorses the bid submission and is committed to providing the
necessary resources to perform all functions consistent with the bid to host the 2005 Texas
Recreation and Park Society/Texas Parks and Wildlife Annual Institute.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 2nd day of April,
2002.
