WHEREAS, City Council adopted Resolution No. 99-386 on December 21, 1999,
providing a partial tax relief for property located at 232-250 Crockett Street and 373-375
Pearl Street; and,
WHEREAS,the Historic Landmark Commission at a Public Hearing on February 11,
2002, voted to approve an amendment to the previous tax exemption;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT Resolution No. 99-386 be and the same is hereby amended such that the assessed
value for ad valorem tax purposes shall be equal to the value prior to preservation for a
period of ten (10) years after completion and acceptance of the improvements to the
property located at 232-275 Crockett and 373-375 Pearl.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 26th day
of February, 2002.
