WHEREAS, bids were received for a one (1) year contract for purchasing
automotive batteries for use by the Fleet Management Division; and,
WHEREAS, Interstate Batteries, Beaumont, Texas, submitted a bid in the unit
amounts shown below for an estimated total annual expenditure of$22,821.27:

WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Interstate
Batteries, Beaumont, Texas, should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Interstate Batteries, Beaumont, Texas, for a one (1) year
contract for purchasing automotive batteries for use by the Fleet Management Division in
SAAGENDA\CITY CLERKID2-26-02.wpd
the unit amounts shown above for an estimated total annual expenditure of$22,821.27 be
accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 25th day of
