WHEREAS, on April 10, 2001, the City Council of the City of Beaumont, Texas,
awarded a contract to Allco, Inc. in the amount of $419,755 for the rehabilitation of the
wastewater digester system; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $104,938 is required for the
purchase and installation of equipment necessary to perform the conversion from an
anaerobic to an aerobic process consisting of the following work:
® Demolition of certain existing concrete supports and piping
® Construction of a foundation and building for housing the new centrifugal blowers
® Installation of all new equipment with appropriate settings and piping
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized, to execute Change Order No.
1 in the amount of $104,938 required for the purchase and installation of equipment
necessary to perform the conversion from an anaerobic to an aerobic process consisting
of the above-described work.
