WHEREAS, bids were obtained for telecommunication services for local
provider service and long-distance service through the State of Texas Cooperative
Purchasing Program; and,
WHEREAS, Southwestern Bell Long Distance and Southwestern Bell
Telephone Company submitted a bid in the amounts shown below:

WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by
Southwestern Bell Long Distance and Southwestern Bell Telephone Company should
be accepted;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid in the amounts shown above submitted by Southwestern Bell Long
Distance and Southwestern Bell Telephone Company be accepted by the City of
Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 11th day of
December, 2001.
