WHEREAS, bids were received for a contract to repair and paint the 5,000,000
gallon steel ground water storage tank located on the west side of Eastex Freeway in Rose
Acres (Loeb); and,
WHEREAS, Blastco, Inc., Irving,Texas, submitted a bid in the amount of$552,377;
and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Blastco, Inc.,
Irving, Texas should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid in the amount of$552,377 submitted by Blastco, Inc., Irving, Texas, to repair
and paint the 5,000,000 gallon steel ground water storage tank located on the west side
of Eastex Freeway in Rose Acres (Loeb), be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 13th day of
November, 2001.
