WHEREAS, the lawsuit of Sandra Pope v City of Beaumont et al has been
discussed in an Executive Session properly called and held Tuesday, October 9, 2001;
and,
WHEREAS, the Council desires to authorize the settlement of the lawsuit;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Attorney be, and he is hereby, authorized to settle the lawsuit of Sandra
Pope v City of Beaumont et al in the amount of Two-Hundred Ten-Thousand ($210,000)
Dollars payable to Sandra Pope and her attorney, Lance Bradley.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 6th day of
November, 2001.
