WHEREAS, bids were received for the sale of City-owned surplus property from the
Lucas Drive Widening Project, being a 0.50 acre parcel of land described as part of Lot
described as the west portion of Lots 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13, Block 1 of the Calder Highlands
Addition, located one-hundred fifty feet (150') north of Calder Avenue and west of West
Lucas Drive, as shown on Exhibit "N'; and,
WHEREAS, Shirley Reese submitted a bid of$13,100; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Shirley Reese
should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Shirley Reese of$13,100 for the sale of City-owned surplus
property from the Lucas Drive Widening Project, being a 0.50 acre parcel of land
described as part of Lot 8 and the east portion of Lots 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13, Block 1 of the
Calder Highlands Addition, located one-hundred fifty feet (150') north of Calder Avenue,
between the east line of West Lucas Drive and the west lines of the north and south West
Lucas cul-de-sacs as depicted in Exhibit "A" be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to
execute any and all documents necessary to transfer title of the above mentioned property.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the day of
11999.
