BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT:
WHEREAS outside agencies have been collecting utility payments at a fee of fifty
(50) cents per collection which has been paid by the City; and,
WHEREAS these outside agencies are requiring payment of one ($1) dollar per
collection to continue collecting such utility payments; and,
WHEREAS the Council desires to provide an option for those who wish to pay at
outside locations by authorizing those locations to charge up to an additional one ($1)
dollar per collection for such services.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT agencies who are collecting utility payments for the City of Beaumont be and they
are hereby authorized to charge the customer a processing fee of not to exceed one ($1)
dollar per transaction.
